We have set ourselves the goal of using 10% more sustainable materials each year when selecting our materials, thereby replacing the previous ones. However, especially in the outdoor department, this is not always easy to implement, without having to charge twice the price, compromising on functionality, or having to buy very large quantities, which can lead to overproduction.
But we believe that the world will change for the better over time and that sustainable materials will become more affordable for everyone in the long term.
This way, we change our production step by step every year.
Our goal: to only use sustainable materials by 2031.
But the manufacturing processes and delivery routes are just as important as the materials. Our production facilities in Turkey, China and Indonesia are already checked by regular social audits and our clothing is manufactured according to the Ökotex standard.
In the long term, we try to achieve the shortest possible delivery routes and to keep the number of complaints low by offering high quality products.
We at Haukland love nature and diversity. That is why we pass on 10% of our net sales to charitable projects.
We are committed to social projects as well as nature conservation and the preservation of natural areas.
Among other things, we support the Green Forest Fund e.V., which is committed to buying land in Germany and bringing it back to its original state.
With the Haukland Photo Funding, we help talented Haukland photographers to realize their charitable heart project.
We also want to support sustainable projects that e.g. promote the reforestation of unforested areas. Do you have a suggestion? Then send us an email to email@example.com.
